Come un sogno che non riesco a sentire (per cinque fisarmoniche)
Il titolo nasce da una citazione beethoveniana, “La musica è come un sogno. Uno che non riesco a sentire”. Cinque frammenti beethoveniani, volutamente scelti dalla tarda produzione del Maestro (due dal quartetto n. 16, due dalle Sei Bagatelle e uno dalla “Grosse Fugue”), costituiscono la struttura dell’intero lavoro.

The title comes from a Beethoven quote, “Music is like a dream. One I can’t hear”. Five Beethoven fragments, deliberately chosen from the late production of the composer (two from the quartet n. 16, two from the Six Bagatelle and one from the “Grosse Fugue”), constitute the structure of the entire work.

Cinque frammenti beethoveniani, volutamente scelti dalla tarda produzione del Maestro (due dal quartetto n. 16, due dalle Sei Bagatelle e uno dalla “Grosse Fugue”), costituiscono la struttura dell’intero lavoro. Ad ogni strumento è affidato un frammento che si articola, melodicamente ed armonicamente, dilatandosi e contraendosi, con i cinque strumenti che “respirano”, come un organismo unico.
Il lavoro inizia proprio dal “respiro” degli strumenti e termina con un soffio sospeso, dove “la musica” è ormai inudibile.

Each instrument is entrusted with a fragment that is articulated, melodically and harmonically, expanding and contracting, with the five instruments that “breathe”, like a single organism.
The work begins with the “breath” of the instruments and ends with a suspended breath, where “the music” is now inaudible.
