Fly my Soul è un progetto per fisarmonica sola che nasce dall’esigenza di dare voce a un percorso interiore e artistico che dopo tanto “metter dentro” e tanta “struttura” necessita l’urgenza di “un volo interiore” verso il fuori, verso l’ignoto aperto, senza struttura, senza paura, dove la strada segnata è un paradosso: il punto di riferimento, il faro sulla terra ferma che restituisce la consapevolezza della propria distanza da essa.
Fly my Soul is a project for solo accordion that stems from the need to give voice to an inner and artistic journey that, after much “internalisation” and “structure”, requires the urgency of an “inner flight” towards the outside, towards the unknown, open, without structure, without fear, where the marked path is a paradox: the point of reference, the lighthouse on dry land that restores awareness of one’s distance from it.

Attraverso composizioni originali codificate e meno codificate, interpretazioni personali improvvisate di
brani tradizionali e standard jazz, l’album unisce “introspezione” ed “esplorazione” del Sé e del Fuori
contemporaneamente.
Suoni ruvidi, sovrapposizioni armoniche, cluster, suoni “spaziali” e cambi di direzione improvvisi sono il
segnale dato da chi ormai “sa fare bene” ma non basta più e “si vuole sbagliare” per trovare, cercando
nell’errore nuove vie, nuovi suoni, …nuovi altrove.
Non c’è chioma senza radice e partendo con esattezza dalla radice popolare per innalzarsi verso il cielo Fly my Soul pone la fisarmonica come voce espressiva dell’anima: l’imperfezione che trasuda
l’essenza della vitalità, dell’emozione e dei sentimenti si tramuta in perfezione svelando un segreto
profondo: l’anima esiste.

‘exploration’ of the Self and the Outside at the same time.
Rough sounds, harmonic overlaps, clusters, ‘spatial’ sounds and sudden changes of direction are the
signal given by those who now ‘know how to do it well’ but are no longer satisfied and ‘want to make
mistakes’ in order to find, by searching in error, new paths, new sounds, … new elsewhere.
There is no foliage without roots, and starting precisely from its popular roots to rise towards the sky, Fly my Soul places the accordion as the expressive voice of the soul.
The imperfection that exudes the essence of vitality, emotion and feelings is transformed into perfection,
revealing a profound secret: the soul exists.
